Codex on iPhone

Control Codex from your iPhone

Control Codex from your iPhone with a tactile deck for tasks, approvals, local dictation, and visible-composer sending on your Mac.

Download on the App StoreDownload the Mac Host

A control surface, not a second Codex client

Keep the real task on your Mac.

CTRL Micro pairs your iPhone or iPad with one explicitly selected Mac. The Host reads Codex task state locally, while actions that create or submit content operate only through the visible Codex interface on that Mac.

What you can control

Handle the moments that pull you back to your desk.

See task state

Six acrylic keys show working, attention, completion, and failure states for Codex tasks.

Open the exact task

Choose Sidebar order or your six most recent task identities, then open the selected task on your Mac.

Respond when Codex pauses

Answer structured questions, approve or decline supported requests, and preview the latest response.

Dictate and send visibly

Transcribe speech locally on your Mac, place it in the verified visible composer, and send from the deck.

Setup

How to control Codex from your iPhone

  1. Install both apps. Download CTRL Micro on your iPhone or iPad and install the signed Mac Host.
  2. Pair nearby. Use the pairing code to create an encrypted connection, then keep that Mac selected as the Active Host.
  3. Open the Codex client page. Grant Accessibility and use Set Up if the Host reports missing Codex shortcuts.
  4. Choose Codex on the board. Your task keys and only the actions the Host can support become available.

A seven-day trial includes Anywhere access. Afterward, nearby Mac controls remain available with Free; Codex controls require a one-time Local or Anywhere purchase.

Nearby or away

Use the same deck across your connection options.

On the same network, CTRL Micro connects directly to the selected Mac. Remote Anywhere lets an already-paired controller reconnect through an end-to-end encrypted relay. It does not expose Codex or the Host as a public network service.

When you need the broader Mac interface, open the view-only Desktop View and switch explicitly to Trackpad or Keyboard for input. The screen image itself never becomes a hidden input path.
